Minutes of the meeting of the NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE held at 2pm on Tuesday 1 April 2008 in Meeting Room Two, The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett.

  1. Apologies for absence

    Apologies were received from Councillors J Howley and Mrs E Wackrow.

  2. Declarations of Interest

    There were no declarations of interest.

  3. Minutes of the Meeting held on 9 January 2008

    The Minutes were signed as a true and correct record.

  4. Matters arising from the Minutes of the meeting held on 9 January 2008

    There were no matters arising.

  5. To adjourn the meeting for members of the public to address the committee (if any) in accordance with standing order 13.9

    There were no members of the public present.

  6. Feedback from edition 78

    Several people had commented how much more attractive the front cover was in full colour.

    The Deputy Clerk was asked to find out the cost of a full coloured edition and also the cost of full colour front and back covers only. Members preferred the matt finish paper to the former gloss finish. (Action: Deputy Clerk)

  8. Advertisements

    Two new advertisements would appear in the next edition; a veterinary surgeon and electrician.

    The cost of placing an advertisement in full colour on the back page would be increased to £40.

  9. Distribution

    The Deputy Clerk reported that the Royal Mail had sent a second invoice amounting to £250 for incorrect labels on the last delivery of boxes. The matter was being disputed and was ongoing.

  10. Put Together

    The Put Together meeting would be held on Thursday 24 April 2008 at 2pm.
