ALDENHAM PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the meeting of the BOUNDARIES AND PLANNING COMMITTEE held on Monday 3 March 2008 at 2.15pm in the Douglas Hicks Room, 1 Aldenham Avenue, Radlett.

Present:

  • Councillor Mrs E E Wackrow (Chairman)
  • Councillor Mrs G Balen
  • Councillor Mrs V Charrett
  • Councillor Mrs E Samuelson
  • Councillor C Wilkins

In attendance:

  • Mrs R J Floate (Administrative Officer)

 

  1. Apologies for absence

    Apologies were received from Councillor D Lambert. It was noted it had not been recorded in the minutes dated 21 January that Councillor Mrs E Samuelson had attended the meeting.

  2. Declarations of interest

    There were no declarations of interest.

  3. Urgent Late Items

    The Chairman, Mrs E E Wackrow advised that she had agreed to consider the following urgent late items.

    1. Planning application TP/2008/0102 - 74 Newberries Avenue
      The reason for this was that it had been omitted from the list of planning applications to be discussed which was circulated ahead of the meeting.
    2. Draft Parking Standards
      Members of the committee discussed the Draft Parking Standards document. The questionnaire was completed and would be sent to Hertsmere Borough Council in time for the deadline.
  4. To confirm the minutes and appendices of the meeting held on Monday 18 February 2008

    The previous meeting had been inquorate.

    The two members present at the meeting made recommendations on some of the planning applications; see planning grid dated 22 February. The recommendations made were approved at the Parish Council meeting on Tuesday 26 February 2008.

  5. To renew new applications

    See planning grid pages 1, 2, 3 and 4 dated 05 March 2008.

  6. To receive an update on applications of special interest

    Hertsmere Borough Council had approved the following applications:

    • 55 Aldenham Avenue
    • 275 Watling Street
    • Danes Lodge, Theobald Street
    • 60 Loom Lane
    • 17 Oakridge Avenue
    • 7 Regents Close

    The following applications had been withdrawn:

    • 18 Goodyers Avenue

    The following applications had been refused:

    • 28 Craigweil Avenue
    • 109 Newberries Avenue
    • 18 Williams Way
    • The Old Engine Shed, Brickfields

    The following applications were appealing against refusal:

    • Former Builders Yard, Station Road
    • Holland House Farm
  7. Date of next meeting

    The next meeting would be held on Monday 17 March 2008 at 7.30pm.

The meeting closed at 4.29pm.
