ALDENHAM PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the meeting of the NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE held at 8pm on Tuesday 11 September 2007 in Meeting Room Two, The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett.

  1. Election of Chairman

    Councillor Mrs Balen was elected as Chairman.


  2. Apologies for absence

    Apologies were received from Councillors Mrs V Charrett, J Howley and R Worthy.


  3. Declarations of Interest

    There were no declarations of interest.


  4. Minutes of the Meeting held on 11 April 2007

    The Minutes were signed as a true and correct record.


  5. Matters arising from the Minutes of the meeting held on 11 April 2007

    Royal Mail - It was reported that the £50 compensation agreed by Royal Mail for non delivery of one box of Around Radlett had now been received.
    Advertisement – Jackie Gilbert - It was noted that Jackie Gilbert who had not been happy with her previous advertisement had now submitted a revised copy.


  6. Guide 2007

    Members were generally pleased with the new Guide.  However, the Deputy Clerk was asked to contact Local Authority Publication and query the following points 1. Why was Octagen given the centre pages and 2. The wrong photo had been used of the Fire Station. (Action: Deputy Clerk)


  7. Feedback from edition 76

    Members liked the mix of contents in the issue and the Deputy Clerk reported that she had received several comments regarding the scene on the front cover.


  8. Articles for inclusion in edition 77

  9. Advertisements

    The Deputy Clerk had written to Nadi Yoga asking if they wished to continue with the advertisement since they had cancelled their regular booking at the Youth Centre. A new company wished to place an advertisement and that would depend on the space available.


  10. Format and Colour

    Members requested that quotations were sought from other print companies.
    The format would be as before.
    The colour chosen was Pantone 485C (a poppy red).


  11. Put Together

    The Put Together would take place on 4 October 2007 at 7.30pm.
