Minutes of the meeting of the BOUNDARIES AND PLANNING COMMITTEE held on Monday 3 September 2007 at 2.15pm in Meeting Room 2, The Radlett Centre, 1 Aldenham Avenue, Radlett

49. Apologies for absence
Apologies were received from Councillors Hyams, Charrett and Lambert
50. Declarations of interest
Councillor Balen declared a personal interest in application TP/2007/1594 – The Radlett Synagogue as a close relative had written to the Chairman with their views on the application. Councillor Samuelson declared a personal interest in application TP/2007/0639 – Radlett Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, as a member of the tennis club.
51. To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on Monday 13 August 2007
The minutes were confirmed and signed as a true and correct record. Members noted an email received from a resident of Loom Lane but, in line with current policy, would not reconsider comments made on applications.

54. To receive an update on applications of special interest
TP/2006/1471 - 2a Aldenham Grove, Radlett - Demolition of existing dwelling and erection of new five bedroom dwelling (two storey with loft accommodation had gone to appeal.
TP/2006/0998 – 8 Gills Hill Lane, Radlett - Sub division of existing garden and the erection of a 3 bed chalet bungalow with garage together with alterations to the access at the junction with Gills Hill Lane had been refused.
TP/2007/1049 – 37 Craigweil Avenue, Radlett - Minor amendment to previously approved planning permission TP/06/0948 to include a further rear extension at first floor level had been approved.
TP/2006/1561 - The Willows, Watling Street, Radlett - Demolition of existing house and garage at the Willows and new extension to existing adjoining office block (Centurian House) together with associated car parking and landscaping had gone to appeal.
TP/2007/0985 – 126 Watling Street, Radlett - Demolition of existing prefabricated garage and erection of new 4 bedroom detached house had gone to appeal.
TP/2006/1467 – 22 The Ridgeway, Radlett - Retrospective application for front boundary wall and gates (revision of TP/2005/0762) had gone to appeal.
TP/2007/1365 - The Bothy, Kendall Hall, Radlett - Redevelopment of existing storage area to car port and storage area had been refused.
TP/2007/1471 – 44 Beech Avenue, Radlett - Single storey side extension to provide garage had been refused.
TP/2006/1608 – Roundbush Nursery – Use for residential purposes (Application for Certificate of Lawfulness for existing use) had gone to appeal.
Members raised concerns that no formal notification had been received on 26 Christchurch Crescent although it was understood that a decision had been made.
Whilst the work of Radlett Society and Green Belt Association was greatly valued, Members did not consider it necessary to view their comments on applications prior to formulating the Council’s views.
