Minutes of the meeting of the FOOTPATHS SUB COMMITTEE held at 7pm on Wednesday 18 July 2007 in Meeting Room One, The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett.

1. Apologies for absence
   
   Apologies were received from Councillor D Lambert, Mr G Smythe and Mr F Hills, the Head of Grounds Maintenance.
   
   
2. Minutes of the meeting held on 3 April 2007 for confirmation and signature
   
   The Minutes were signed as a true and correct record.
   
   
3. Matter arising from the Minutes of the meeting held on 3 April 2007
   
   
   1. Landowners Consent – David Bagon offered to check if a kissing gate had been erected on the land belonging to Lord Aldenham.
   
   
4. P3 Grants
   
   
   1. Update of Works carried out – Members asked if Dawn Grocock from HCC would provide an update of works carried out from previous P3 grants.
      
      Members expressed concern that footpaths in general seemed to be in a poor state and requested that Dawn be invited to the meeting on 9 October 2007 to discuss the matter and to ascertain if any of the work, currently required, could be covered by a P3 grant. (Action: Deputy Clerk and Ms Dawn Grocock)
   
   
   
5. Footpath Matters
   
   
   1. October Meeting – Brian Hyde would invite Mr Ray Strickland to attend the meeting on 9 October 2007. (Action: Brian Hyde)
      
      
   2. Meeting with Ms Liz Drake – Members were reminded that Liz Drake from Hertsmere Borough Council to be held at the Radlett Centre between 5pm and 7.15pm on Thursday 26 July 2007.
      
      
   3. Letter from Mr Tony Jennings – Mr Jennings had been invited to the meeting to be held on 26 July with Ms Liz Drake from Hertsmere Borough Council to discuss cycling, walking and horse routes in Hertsmere. He had made several comments prior to the meeting and these were discussed by Members.
      
      
   4. Footpath Leaflets – David Bagon produced a map of a walk showing a brief history of the area. It was suggested that these may be reproduced and featured in Around Radlett.
      
      
   
   
6. Date of next meeting
   
   The next meeting would be held on Tuesday 9 October at 7pm.
