Minutes of the meeting of the BOUNDARIES AND PLANNING COMMITTEE held on Monday 18 June 2007 at 2.15pm in Meeting Room 2, The Radlett Centre, 1 Aldenham Avenue, Radlett

1. Apologies for absence
   
   Apologies were received from Councillors Mrs V Charrett and D Lambert.
   
   
   
2. Declarations of interest
   
   There were no declarations of interest.
   
   
   
3. To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on Monday 4 June 2007
   
   The minutes were confirmed and signed as a true and correct record.
   
   
   
4. Approve comments on current applications
   
   The grid was approved as a correct record.
   
   
   
5. Review new applications
   
   See planning grid pages 1, 2, 3 and 4 dated 19 June 2007.
   
   
   
6. Planning for Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Response Form
   
   Councillor Mrs E E Wackrow reported that a presentation was being arranged by Hertsmere Borough Council to discuss the Gypsy and Traveller issue. There would be two presentations, one at 6 pm and the other at 8.30 pm. Councillor Mrs E E Wackrow hoped that as many councillors possible would attend one of the meetings.
   
   Several aspects of the proposal were discussed.  It was agreed that a copy of the questionnaire be sent to all Councillors. The questionnaire would be completed at the next meeting to be held on 9 July 2007.
   
   It was agreed that all of the letters received regarding the Gypsy site proposals should be acknowledged. Mrs Floate would respond to each letter and inform them of the dates of the presentation at Hertsmere. Letters from Shenley residents would be responded to and referred to Shenley Parish Council.
   
   Mrs R J Floate would order tickets on behalf of the Councillors.
   
   
   
7. To receive an update on applications of special interest
   
   It was noted that the applications at 14 Goodyers Avenue and Wistaria, Gills Hill Lane and 36 & 38 Goodyers Avenue, 4 Hawtrees were withdrawn. The applications at Fourways, Wistaria, Gills Hill (another application), Four Wantways, 33 Williams Way, Otterspool House, Waterside Cottage, Brook Drive , 71 Loom Lane, Café Lounge, Watling Street, Waverley, Hillside Road had been approved. The application at 14 Oakridge Avenue had been refused. Longridge, Common Lane was appealing against the refusal of their application.
   
   
   
8. Date of next meeting
   
   The next meeting would be held on Monday 9 July 2007 at 7.30pm.
