- HIGHWAYS ISSUES
Members were referred to the Joint highways Partnership Report which detailed who was responsible for which service on the highway. Of particular note was the comment that Highways and Hertsmere admitted that there had been a shortfall in service quality for weed killing and gully cleansing. Improvements were expected.
A letter dated 17 October from Highways detailed some temporary road closures which included sending cars up and down Loom Lane as part of a diversion. The Clerk undertook to raise this with Mr Gregory Deputy District Manager, Hertsmere Highways, at a meeting she was due to attend on 24 October. Members also asked that the quality differences in road works be raised and the reasons for the different surfacing sought.
