Minutes of the meeting of the NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE held at 8pm on Monday 16 January 2006 in Meeting Room 2, The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett.

Apologies were received from Councillor R Worthy.
- Declarations of Interest
There were no declarations of interest.
- Minutes of the meeting of the Newsletter Committee held on 20 September 2005
The Minutes were signed as a true and correct record.
- Matters arising from the Minutes of the meeting held on 20 September 2005
No reply had been received from the Royal Mail over the complaint regarding a missing box of Around Radlett that contained 400 copies. Members requested that the Deputy Clerk pursue the matter. (Action: Deputy Clerk)
- Feedback from 70th edition
It was felt that the overall print and quality of photographs was not as crisp as in previous editions. The matter had been reported to Print Services.
Two responses had been received from a request for contact details of local organisations for inclusion in the new Parish Guide 2007.
- Complaint to Royal Mail
The Deputy Clerk had written to the Royal Mail complaining about having to employ a courier to deliver 4000 copies of Around Radlett to the Walk Bundling Centre at Rochester when our own sorting office was 100 yards from the Council Offices. A response had been received stating that the Royal Mail were not prepared to make an exception and the were the rules applied to all users of the Royal Mail Door to Door Service.

- Advertising
It was reported that Albion Building Consultants had cancelled their advertisement and would be replaced by two advertisers from the waiting list; ‘dez rez' an interior design company and ‘Taekwon-do’ Korean Self Defence.
- Distribution
Distribution would be via the Royal Mail.
- Contract for 2007
The contract for 2007 had been booked for the March, June and November editions. A contract for September 2007 which delivery of the 2007 Official Guide was scheduled for would be entered into when details of the Guide were more established.
- Possible new Guide
It was anticipated that a meeting to discuss the new Official Guide 2007 would take place after 1 April 2006.
- Put Together
The ‘Put Together’ would take place on Monday 30 January 2006 at 7.30pm.
