ALDENHAM PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the meeting of the FOOTPATHS SUB COMMITTEE held at 7 pm on Tuesday 10 January 2006 in Meeting Room 2, The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett.

1. Apologies for absence
Apologies were received from Councillor R Worthy.
2. Declarations of Interest
There were no declarations of interest.
3. To confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on 6 October 2005
The Minutes were confirmed as a true and correct record.
4. Matters arising from the Minutes of the meeting held on 6 October 2005
- Invitation to Mr Ray Strickland It was agreed to wait for better weather and to hold a site visit.
- P3 Grant 2004/2005 The Deputy Clerk reported that the cheque for 2004/2005 had not been received and she would be contacting Countryside Management. (Action: Deputy Clerk)
5. P3 Grants for 2005/2006 and 2006/2007
- 2005/2006 It was understood that approval had to be obtained from the land owners before any work could be carried out. The Deputy Clerk would investigate. (Action: Deputy Clerk)
- 2006/2007 As in previous years Dr Slater would compile a list of work that required attention from details given to him by a team of regular walkers. (Action: Dr Slater)
Other items for possible inclusion:-
- Junction of A17 and A31 required a way marker
- Footpaths A50 and A75 required way markers adjacent to bridge (way markers were also required at the same junction at E59, E10 and E13 responsibility of Elstree & Borehamwood TC)
- Kissing gates were required at A17 adjacent to a cattle trough
6. Update on Footpath 29
Brian reported that the entrance to Footpath 29 had been blocked with a mesh gate and lock for some time, some Members thought that horses were being kept in the field.
It was understood that Mr Chris Beaney of BADFA (Bushey and Aldenham Definitive Footpath Association) and representatives from HCC had attended a site meeting.
Councillor Lambert would contact Julian Thornton at HCC for an updated report. (Action: Councillor Lambert)
7. Other Footpath Matters
- Modification Order It was reported that notices for a Modification Order on Footpaths W16 and A66 had been received and had been displayed.
- Bridleway at Wall Hall It was reported that horse riders had been informed by security guards currently working on the Wall Hall development that a bridleway in the vicinity of Footpath A12 may not exist in the future. The matter would be monitored.
8. Date of next meeting
The next meeting would be held at 7 pm on Tuesday 9 May 2006.
