ALDENHAM PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the meeting of the RADLETT FESTIVAL SUB COMMITTEE held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 17 March 2005 in Meeting Room Two, The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett.

- Apologies for absence
Apologies were received from Stuart Nagler, Cilla Martin, Mary Wright, Brian Hyde and Giles Walker.
- Declarations of Interest
Graham Taylor declared an interest on behalf of the 1st Radlett Scout Troop.
- Review of the notes of the Sub Committee held on 2 March 2005
Vicky gave an updated report as follows:-
It was agreed to charge £5 entrance fee to each person coming to listen to the bands. The charge did not include band members
The copy deadline of the 31 March requested by Ray Hayes would be tight from the concert point of view. Vicky asked for an extension
It was agreed that Viv, Sylvia and Jan would meet Ray on Tuesday 22 March to discuss the programme
Sponsorship was needed for the hire of the stage and to employ a security firm. Approximately ten stewards would be required to man the area from 2pm until 7.30pm
The concert would start at 2.30pm
A marquee to cover the stage would cost slightly under £1000
Glasses/Bottles would not be allowed on the field
Graham offered to do a site plan
A hand stamp would be available for people wishing to leave and return to the site
Vicky and Jan to check the cost of hiring toilets
Viv reported that Tabard RFC had one or two concerns and she would be meeting with their representatives to discuss the situation.
- Sunday Fair
An update for the Sunday Fair was given by Viv and Sylvia:-
60+ letters had been sent out to prospective stall holders
Four responses for classic cars had been received
Medivet were very disappointed that for a number of reasons they were unable to take part in this year's fair. They stressed their commitment to future fairs and community events. They were willing to sell tickets/programmes. They are looking into a possible raffle prize of Pet insurance
Sylvia would contact the Dog Training Society for their possible involvement
The Cutting Room are considering their Salsa dancing involvement
The winning band may possible appear on Sunday afternoon
Dominic Ingram was willing to compere, a second compere was required, possibly Ian Sutherland
It was hoped a celebrity would open the event. John would stand in if required
The ice cream man was to be confirmed
Ron would speak to the chairman of Ladies Circle to ask if they would be prepared to sell teas and cakes if a stall were sited in front of the pavilion
- Budget
Roger distributed copies of the budget and explained the various items and amounts. He added that the budget would be updated in view of discussions that had taken place during the meeting.
- Dates of future meetings
The next meetings would be held on 7 and 2l April at 7.30pm
