1. Apologies for absence
Apologies were received from Councillor Mrs S A Reith.
2. Declarations of interest
Councillor D Lambert declared a non-pecuniary interest in the application from Bhaktivedanta Manor.
Councillor Mrs E E Wackrow declared a non-pecuniary interest in the application from Bio Products Laboratory.
3. To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 10 May 2004
Councillor Mrs Wackrow reported on the response from Hertsmere to the application at Bridgefoot Cottages. The Clerk had emailed Councillor Saunders and was told it would probably be refused and there would be no need to call the application in. Councillor Mrs Wackrow asked Mrs Floate to check with the planning department, the progress of this application.
Councillor Mrs Wackrow asked Mrs Floate to check the progress of the application for 23a Shenley Hill, and the time period allowed for consultation after amendment.
4. Approve comments on current applications
The grid was approved as a correct record.
5. Review new applications
See planning grid pages 1, 2 and 3, dated 27 May 2004 .
6. Any other business
Mrs Wackrow enquired whether Councillor Lambert had been informed of the decision at Orchard Cottage, Letchmore Heath. The application had gone to appeal; Hertsmere Borough Council had refused to remove the condition regarding agricultural use.
Councillor Wackrow asked members present if they wanted to respond to the Draft Consultation on High Hedges. Members agreed to respond to it.
The date of the next meeting was Tuesday 8 June at 7.30 pm .
The meeting closed at 8.45 pm.
