ALDENHAM PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Boundaries and Planning Committee held on Monday 15 December 2003 in the Douglas Hicks Room, The Radlett Centre, 1 Aldenham Avenue, Radlett.

1. Apologies for absence

Apologies were received from Councillors Mrs S A Reith, S Burke and W Deem.

2. Declarations of Interest

There were no declarations of interest.

3. To confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on Monday 1 December 2003

The minutes were confirmed as a correct record.

4. Approve comments on current applications

The grid was approved as a correct record.

5. Wall Hall College

Councillor Mrs Wackrow reported that she had attended the recent presentation by Octagon at Hertsmere Borough Council. The Octagon consultants explained the changes in detail. The main changes were to the reduction in density. The number of dwellings had been reduced to 127. The best of the older farm buildings would now be retained. Parking was reduced to the requirement asked for by the Deputy Prime Minister’s office. Extra car parking had been created around the information centre. It was agreed to record a recommendation of no objection to this revised application.

6. Draft Interim Planning Guidance: The Provision of Affordable Housing – A Guide for Developers

All members present agreed to support all of the comments in the draft proposal. The form would be filled out and sent off to Hertsmere the next day.

7. Review new applications

See planning grid dated 16 December 2003 pages 1, 2 and 3.

8. Any other business

Councillor Mrs Wackrow reported that appeal notifications had been received for the following three applications:

• 10 The Woods
• 40 Shenley Hill
• 30 New Road

9. Date of next meeting

The next meeting would be held on Monday 5 January 2003.
