  9. Craigweil Avenue speeding

It was noted that there were invoices from Civic Cars still to be paid and this was likely to continue for the next few months. Mrs Floate had spoken to Ms Sarah Durrant at the Countryside Agency about this and was told that a way of avoiding this was for an expiry date to be stamped on the vouchers.

Mrs Floate reported that all the paperwork relating to this year had been completed, and it was hopeful that the grant would be awarded for the coming year. Mrs Floate would put into place all the suggestions made by Ms Durrant at the Countryside Agency..

Councillor Worthy had attended a meeting with Councillor Martin Saunders and Highway’s Council Officers on 18 September 2003. Several topics were discussed and Councillor Worthy reported on each one. Notes of meeting were distributed to members.

Councillor Mrs Wackrow reported that she thought that the pavement needed widening in Theobald Street alongside the railway bridge.

Councillor Worthy asked Mrs Floate to find out the duration of the temporary weight restriction order on Shenley Hill.

Councillor Mrs Baker reported that she felt a yellow line should be painted on the pavement adjacent to the war memorial and adjacent to Silverman’s butcher as she felt that parking was abused in this area.
