The Rotary Club of Radlett
What is Rotary?
A group of elderly people sitting around having lunch? Not on your life!
Rotary is a service organisation of business and professional men and women, united worldwide to help those in need, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and work towards world understanding and peace.
Can anyone join Rotary?
Membership is by invitation. However if you are a service-minded person, and responsible for managing your own time, we would be delighted to hear from you. Many - though not all - Rotarians are persons who run their own businesses, work from home, or are now retired from management posts with large organisations. However Rotary is for everyone who would like to put something back into the community, also help provide assistance to those in need in developing countries. Can you spare time for this?
Rotary in Radlett
The Rotary Club of Radlett meets every Monday at lunchtime. Our members allocate two hours of their time for this and, based around this weekly Club “hub”, arrange and carry out a range of activities - e.g., taking elderly people or disadvantaged children on days out, organizing the village annual Christmas Carol Concert, etc., etc. Club and members are active steadily throughout every year in a wide range of varied projects.
Would you like to know more about Rotary?
Rotary is an international organization that has made major contribution towards eradicating polio, building a library in Rwanda, etc. To find out more visit Rotary’s website at www.rotary1130.org.uk.
